UPCOMING EVENTS: CIVIL WAR

Our next unit will be on the Civil War. We will be exploring this period of history comic book style. The class will divide into nine groups and each group will get a storyboard. On that board, each group will make graphic representations of four Civil War events. All nine of the storyboards put together will create our Civil War comic book. Each student will then do a timeline using the events on the storyboard. This will be an exciting and engaging experience.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

I have been teaching 8th grade U. S. History at Hillside Middle School for over 6 weeks. I moved to Simi Valley from Inglewood when I was 9, and have lived here ever since, except for a three year tour in the U. S. Army's 3rd Ranger Battalion. I am looking forward to an exciting semester with all of you students.
